#1184 - OIC MCP Gateway - other features

Introduction

By other features, I am referring to those I haven't already covered in my previous MCP Gateway posts.

I'll begin with custom regex patterns for masking response field values and then look at the different runtime trace levels available.

Custom Regex Patterns

The PII policy enables us to select a plethora of fields for masking - 

But what if I want to mask, something above and beyond what's on offer?

for example, the Severity field value - 

 

Here I have masked it; the rule to apply such is simple - 

As you can see, I am not searching for the "Severity" field e.g. (?<=Severity\\":\\")[^"\\]+

What I do is mask the possible values the field may have; in my case - Critical|High|Medium|Low.

Gateway Trace Levels

I execute a gateway request from postman and check the audit trail.

Now the same with trace set to production -

The activity stream retrieval uses the following api -
